AirCraft Circus Alumni
Below are some of our graduates from the full time Foundation Course in Circus Arts with news of what they have been doing since leaving AirCraft Circus, and some still performing with AirCraft Circus
Natasha Usmar (school of 2010)
Natasha, featured in the above picture is currently working in Germany in the largest traditional touring circus in Europe Circus Krone. This old-style traditional circus features lots of animals, including lions, horses, elephants, camels, and sea-lions. Vegetarian animal loving Natasha informs us that although it is different to anything she knows, and certainly wouldn’t be allowed in the UK, all of the animals are treated very well. Natasha is performing as part of the ballet, but also does an aerial hoop solo to open the show, accompanied by a clown on saxaphone. Her contract finishes in November and she will be back at the Hangar Arts Trust for training on her return. Check out some footage of Natasha in action below:
Kathryn Cooley (class of 2011)
Kathryn performed with AirCraft Circus at Evolution in May. Currently she lives in Cornwall and has done a few things with Swamp Circus. She has also done two weeks training in Ireland with Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Company. Kathryn is currently residing in Berlin. Watch this space for more news.
Lucy Gould (class of 2010)
Lucy graduated from AirCraft Circus Foundation Course in Circus Arts in 2010 and is off to do some further training in September with Circomedia to do their foundation degree. Lucy did some circus cabaret in May to help fund the course, and will be doing some more in September, so watch this space for news of where to catch her perform.
Teresa Callan (class of 2010)
Teresa Callan has just finished performing with Circus of Light in Kent, directed by Lucinda Ryan (aka Ivy Paige) Next year Teresa is performing in Cirque Revolution with five other multi-skill artists (including AirCraft CIrcus teacher Jo Foley) in Tenerife. Teresa is also joining the AirCraft Circus team at the 02 in September for World Skills to perform Lucy’s rope choreography.
Rachel Entwistle (class of 2010)
Rachel recently performed with the Mustdashios at the Battersea Barge. Rachel is co-founder of the company, and the recent show was called Chips and featured lots of sequined pants! Rachel is a regular at AirCraft Circus and can often be found at the Hangar Arts Trust. Watch this space for further news of Rachel’s Circus performances.
