Space hire

HAT is over 7000 sqf. and is divided into several spaces. Generally the spaces are available to book in week day times and weekend days and evening. Please contact us for more information.

Studio 1

Studio 1 is the largest/main space on the groundfloor. It is walled off from the first level and is 10m high. This area can be booked for a variety of activities including circus/dance/theatre rehearsals, performances and film shoots. Studio 1 can also host the Grande Volant Flying Trapeze rig. When this space is not booked it can be opened for AirTime training slots and community projects.

Studio 2

Smaller than studio 1, Studio 2 is also 10m high and has a sprung black dance floor. The space can be curtained off from The Mezzanine for more privacy if required. When Studio 2 is not booked it is available for AirTime training sessions and community projects.

The Mezzanine

A training space for professionals and adults who are at a level of competence where they are safe to train without supervision. This space is 6m high and is kitted out with trapezes, ropes, silks, hoops and chinese pole. Future plans for this space include rigging a peti volant flying trapeze and tumble track.

AirTime is the name of the prof/high level amateur practice time. This runs mainly during the afternoons on The Mezz and spaces that are not booked. AirTime finishes before evening classes take place. For exact hours check the AirTime page. We offer annual membership and a fixed daily training fee (or 10 session carnet at a discount) for people who want to use this space and the facilities of HAT.

Further development

Ground Floor
HAT is an arts hub. There will be offices available for rent to arts-related businesses that would like to be involved with HAT. There will be a cafe with free internet and wireless for members. A creche is already completed on the the ground floor and the HAT plans to offer child care to members in the future.
