Silks

Also known as tissue, ribbon or fabric. Silks is simply the most stunning, lyrical form of circus training. Hanging from two coloured fabric strips, you entwine your body in the material and then… the fun begins! Swinging, rolling, dropping and wrapping yourself with the silks you’ll create elegant, beautiful shapes and build a routine as you enhance your strength and fitness.
Silks performers are in great demand at all sorts of circus events from cabaret to corporate.
Whose it for: suitable for absolute beginners
What to wear: sportswear that covers the midriff and the backs of your knees, layers recommended, bare feet, no jeans allowed

Wall Running

The newest, freshest circus skill – unique to Aircraft Circus. This fusion of abseiling, acrobalance and dance will take you to a higher level of fitness and performance. You won’t find this class anywhere else in the UK, so sign up now to get a taste of what looks set to be a circus craze. Build funky sequences, learn brand new techniques, bungee on the wall, counter balance with your dance partner and create jaw-dropping group routines.Once you’ve reached the right level of skill and safety you can take your wall-running out into the city, creating spectacular public displays.

Flying Trapeze

Fly through the air with the greatest of ease … flying trapeze is the classic circus art – beautiful, inspirational and frequently breathtaking. It’s all about taking a risk, being in the moment and acting on instinct. Whether you want to be a flyer or a catcher, flying trapeze builds strength, stamina, grace and flexibility.
Flying trapeze training can lead to professional troupe-based performance.

Static Trapeze

Create mesmerising displays moving around/under/over a bar suspended in the air. Static trapeze is our most popular circus skill. You’ll develop stamina, determination, self-belief and have the satisfaction of mastering the core moves necessary to build your very own routine.
Static trapeze performers regularly appear in professional circus as well as cabarets, theatre shows, corporate events and festivals.
What to wear: all in ones, leggings and top, gaiters not necessary but if you have them bring them
