AirCraft Circus Academy is a small not-for-profit family organisation that formed to support the development of circus.  We passionately believe in both the physical and social benefits of circus.  We provide a fantastic learning and training environment, with an extensive skill range, that pushes people beyond their perceived limits; giving them a brand new perception of what is possible, not only in the circus world, but in everyday life too.

Our aim is to bring the magic of circus to people of all ages and abilities, including people with special educational needs and disabled people where possible.  We see circus as a celebration of the human condition: social connection, creative imagination, hopeful vision, and physical effort.  It is about skill, risk-taking, bravery and hard graft.

Circus is not only great fun, it also has a unique, impressive number of educational and developmental outcomes, and it’s a great way to improve our mental health too.  Circus can improve coordination, concentration, balance, self-control, discipline, appreciation of risk and team-building skills.  It also strengthens intellectual capabilities, improves physical health, exercises creativity and increases confidence and self-belief.

Circus is a wonderfully life changing art, however it requires a lot of expensive space and equipment and intensive supervision by experienced and skilled teachers, none of this is cheap and that can make circus unaffordable for the children and adults who need it the most.

It’s because of the people who walk through the doors of AirCraft Circus Academy, and their generous support, that AirCraft Circus Academy is able to continue to thrive.  Any donations are greatly appreciated and allow us to further develop in-house and external programmes, whilst still continuing to operate at the highest standard.

We need the support of like-minded people and organisations to make the power of circus affordable, and sustainable.
